"Golden Pencilfish" Nannostomus beckfordi
This plush is made of custom printed velvet fabric to my own design, sewn and stuffed with polyester stuffing and plastic beans for weight. They have plastic safety eyes.
These plushies will come with a certificate of authenticity, detailling their species, the date they were made and proving that they are an original Palaeoplushie handmade in Scotland by Rebecca Groom.
As this is a hand made item, it is not intended for children and is designed to be an art piece for adults. As they are stitched by machine, they won't fall apart if handled roughly but have not passed the relevant safety standards to be sold as a child's toy.
Plushie Dimensions: 17cm / 7 inches
Description: Nannostomus beckfordi is a species of small characin native to South America. They are a commonly kept aquarium fish. This species displays sexual dimorphism, with males having a more red pigmentation and females a gold-hue. The males like to “wrestle” each other, showing off to the females.
At night they take on a “cryptic colouration”, if viewed with a torch after dark they have vertical bands of black and white rather than their horizontal stripe.
